Ah ok
I just hate the idea that we have to go for an 'available' manager.
The best managers usually have clubs. My first choice would be to test the water with Brendon Rodgers.
I don't think there is a massive chance of getting him, but I don't like the mentality of we're poor little West Ham we have no chance. You never know what is going on behind the scenes at Liverpool.
If when you have tested the water you think there is no chance, you move on to the next (De Boer hopefully). But if you get a glimmer that if the right offer came in there was a slight possibility he would come you then decide just how much of heaven and earth you will move to get a man whose football philosophy is exactly what (i hope) we are looking for.

You seem very angry Terry! I never said he was a useless bastard or a useless cunt. I said he wouldn't be linked as our manager unless he had played 40 games for us once. And i stand by that; he wouldn't. He is one of many mangers in European leagues with less depth than ours, who is doing a reasonable job, no more. He is charismatic, and I like him too. But this is a cusp of opportunity for us ahead of the stadium move, and we could leverage that to punch above our historical weight and get somebody much better in. That's what I think anyway. I'd prefer a De Boer to a Bilic. But it's just a difference of opinion, no need to get all red-faced about it.

Yes that Bilic is a useless bastard. He's only been an international manager, has a 56% win percentage during his managerial career, and his present club just knocked Liverpool out of Europe. Fucking useless cunt he is.

Has Bilic managed in the Premier League? No Have Strachan, Mcleish & Coleman? Yes
Have any of them won anything in English football? Yes apart from Bilic.
Has Bilic managed international teams? Yes Have Strachan, Mcleish & Coleman? Yes
Has Bilic won anything as a Manager? No Have the rest? Strachan & Mcleish Yes
Have they all failed as Managers or been sacked? All yes
Besiktas have won the Super Lig in Turkey 13 times and have been runner up 14 times. Bilic has them in 2nd, woopy doop!
Is Bilic anything special then? NOPE

So we can only go after a manager who is out of contract?
Small time mentality.
You choose who want and you go all out to get him no matter where he is

Moyes fits the model down to a tee of the type of Manager Sullivan wants, whether he'd leave Spain so shortly after arriving I'm not so sure though. I think he'd flourish with us, wouldn't have the financial restraint he had at Everton.

Polite, it has everything to do with it.
Most decent managers are in jobs at the moment.
Benetiz contract ends in the summer so he has a decision to make.

Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü (Turkish pronunciation: [beˈʃiktaʃ], English: Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club), known as Beşiktaş, is a Turkish sports club. The club's football team, the oldest in the country, is also one of the most successful teams in Turkey, having never been relegated to a lower division. The professional sports club, founded in 1903, is based in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey. The club competes in numerous branches including football, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, boxing, wrestling, chess, bridge, gymnastics, rowing, table tennis, paralympic sports, esports and beach football.[8]
The home ground of Beşiktaş was the İnönü Stadium with a seating capacity of 32,086, however the ground was demolished in order for the Vodafone Arena to be constructed on the same land. The club last won the Turkish Süper Lig championship during the 200809 season, achieving a "double" after also winning the Turkish Cup[9] in the same season.
Yep, that's just like Aberdeen alright.

But Bilic has taken the Turkish equivalent of Aberdeen to the Europa League last 16, beating the Premier League form team on the way. Plus he has taken his country to a major tournament, twice.
So try again.

What has that got to do with anything?

I've said this before and I'll say it again, if you put Bilic up as a potential WHUFC based on his credentials then you may as well add Gordon Strachan, Chris Coleman and Alex Mcleish. Bilic has not done anything special to warrant the West Ham job. It is as simple as that.

It's more a case of who is realistically going to be available at the end of the season when Sam's contract is up and who would join us?
Benetiz could potentially fit into that category, that's a definite improvement.
Otherwise, all these other names being said I'd rather stick with Allardyce as all the others are unproven.
